Rooted in Indonesia’s creative music ecosystem, Tulus built a career that extends far beyond writing and performing his own original work, launching platforms that lift up both his own output and a new generation of creators across Indonesia’s diverse artistic fields. He began his formal musical journey in September 2011, first establishing himself as a singer and songwriter who releases only self-penned work, before expanding his scope to co-found TulusCompany, the recording label and talent management firm he built alongside his older sibling Riri Muktamar. Within the structure of TulusCompany, Tulus holds a central role shaping the organization’s strategy and output, steering the release of five full-length albums to date, every track of which was written entirely by Tulus, with long-time collaborator Ari Renaldi serving as producer across all projects.
