About This Album

Kahitna, an Indonesian pop band from Bandung, formed in 1986 by keyboardist Yovie Widianto, has cultivated a musical style that integrates elements of jazz, pop, fusion, Latin, and traditional Indonesian music, frequently exploring themes of love in their lyrics. The band has maintained a consistent presence in the music scene for over three decades, marked by few personnel changes since its inception with original members Yovie Widianto on piano and keyboard, Bambang Purwono also on keyboard, Hedi Yunus as a vocalist, Dody Isniani on bass, Andrie Bayuadjie on guitar, Budiana Nugraha on drums, and Harry Suhardiman on percussion. Yovie Widianto serves as the primary songwriter for Kahitna, a group whose debut album, *Cerita Cinta* (Love Story), achieved platinum status upon its release in 1994.
