About this Song
The landscape of Indonesian R&B has always been a space of quiet, uncelebrated innovation, a realm where creators draw from the global language of R&B—its focus on intimate emotion, its ability to wrap the complexity of human feeling into a framework that feels both familiar and entirely new—to anchor stories that could only emerge from the unique tapestry of life across Indonesia, a nation that stretches across more than 17,000 islands, home to hundreds of distinct ethnic groups, each with their own long histories of oral storytelling, musical performance, and the kind of nuanced understanding of grief, joy, nostalgia, and growth that forms the backbone of every great R&B work.
