Dewa 19, an Indonesian rock band formed in Surabaya, East Java, in 1986, is celebrated for its powerful yet melodic rock arrangements that blend keyboard layers with guitar riffs. The band's musical style incorporates rock, pop rock, soft rock, alternative rock, symphonic rock, hard rock, pop metal, and arena rock. Throughout their career, Dewa 19 has sold over 7 million albums in Indonesia, with notable releases like their debut album "Dewa 19" (1992), "Terbaik Terbaik" (1995), "Pandawa Lima" (1997), and "Bintang Lima" (2000). The group, led by singer-songwriter Ahmad Dhani, is considered one of the greatest rock bands in Indonesian popular music history, having been included in Rolling Stone Indonesia magazine's list of "The Immortals: The 25 Greatest Indonesian Artists of All Time" in 2008.
