Jemsii, born James Yusufa Diraja Nugroho on January 13, 2003, is an Indonesian record producer, songwriter, composer, and singer who uses the mononym Jemsii for his musical projects. Tenxi started his career in 2016 as a small-stage musician during his high school years in Sidoarjo, where he created his first hip-hop R&B song, "dedicated." The two artists first connected in 2019 on Discord while gaming and began making music together remotely before meeting in person in 2021. Jemsii is recognized for introducing the "Hipdut" music genre, a fusion of Hip Hop and Dangdut, to the mainstream.
