KATUT LANANGAN - DIVA HANI - SIMPATIK MUSIC
About this Song
Hailing from Sidoarjo, Indonesia, the Simpatik Music collective crafts a body of work rooted in a signature blend of regional and contemporary sounds, with hip-hop forming the core genre that anchors all its releases. The collective’s standout sound Katut Lanangan, written by songwriter Cak Diqin, exemplifies this creative approach, bringing together a full roster of in-house musicians who each bring their longstanding familiarity with the group’s creative identity to every track they record. Guk Matt Simpatik, who contributes kendang to Katut Lanangan, collaborates closely with bassist Kaji Oga Simpatik to lay the track’s foundational rhythm, while lead guitarist Sodik Simpatik weaves melodic lines that tie the sound’s hip-hop structure to the collective’s deep Indonesian musical roots.
