EMPAT MATA - LINDA AYUNDA - SIMPATIK MUSIC
About this Song
Hip-hop across Indonesia has long served as a canvas for local artistic collectives to merge global rhythmic frameworks with deeply rooted regional cultural traditions, reimagining what the genre can sound like when centered on local community and collaborative craft. From small regional hubs across the archipelago, groups of musicians, songwriters, and performers come together to build catalogs of work that feel both connected to global hip-hop currents and unmistakeably rooted in the specific landscapes and communities that spawn them. One such collective is Simpatik Music, a group hailing from Sidoarjo that has cultivated a distinct creative identity built on intentional cross-instrument collaboration and a commitment to highlighting the range of vocal and creative talent they work with.
