About this Song
The cross-section of creators credited for this work draw on longstanding ties to Indonesia’s creative music ecosystem, weaving their separate and shared creative identities into every layer of the sound they deliver. Aura Sekar, Ria Amelia Simpatik, and Simpatik Music unite their respective creative perspectives to bring form to this project, each bringing their own alignment with the creative traditions and shared audience connections that define collaborative music work across Indonesia. Each of these creators brings a focus on centering the core identity of the material they interpret, leaning into the trust they have built with one another through repeated collaborative work to craft a sound that honors both the source of the material they are revisiting and the unique voice they bring to it as a collective.
