About this Song
Silvy Kumalasari, the credited artist behind Negoro Angin, creates work rooted in the rich, endlessly diverse creative ecosystem of Indonesia, a nation whose artistic output spans countless regional traditions, experimental practices, and community-centered forms of expression that have shaped global understandings of sonic craft for generations. For every creator who gains widespread international recognition, there are dozens more whose work forms the backbone of local creative scenes, whose contributions anchor the communities that lift up better-known artists, and whose individual outputs add irreplaceable texture to the full story of Indonesian artistry that extends far beyond the works that cross over to global mainstream audiences.
