Seventeen, the South Korean boy group formed by Pledis Entertainment in 2015, is known for its members' active involvement in songwriting, music production, and choreography, earning them the designation of a "self-producing" idol group. The group, comprising 13 members—S.Coups, Jeonghan, Joshua, Jun, Hoshi, Wonwoo, Woozi, DK, Mingyu, The8, Seungkwan, Vernon, and Dino—is further structured into three specialized sub-units: the Hip-Hop Team, Vocal Team, and Performance Team. Woozi, as the leader of the vocal team and the group's main producer, has contributed as a writer or composer to over 80% of Seventeen’s discography, while Hoshi has co-choreographed most of their title tracks. This hands-on approach to their craft has been a hallmark of their career since their debut on May 26, 2015, with the extended play (EP) *17 Carat*. This EP notably became the longest-charting K-pop album of the year in the US and was the sole rookie album to be featured on Billboard's "10 Best K-Pop Albums of 2015" list.
