About this Song
The collaborative creative union between eńau and Ari Lesmana that forms Sesi Potret emerges from a longstanding, vibrant culture of cross-creator partnership that defines many of Indonesia’s most innovative creative music circles, where artists routinely test the limits of what their work can be, rather than adhering to static expectations of form, sound, or classification. The choice to slot the work into the Music/Other/Other genre category is not an afterthought, but a reflection of the core identity of Sesi Potret as a piece of sound work that refuses to align with the narrow, often limiting genre frameworks that dictate how most recorded sound is categorized, shared, and understood by audiences and creative communities alike.
