About this Song
Music thrives as a versatile, boundary-crossing creative force in Indonesia, a country with a vast, interconnected ecosystem of artists who turn personal and universal emotion into work that resonates with audiences across Southeast Asia and beyond, and the sound titled power ranger emerges from this vibrant creative landscape. The artist behind the work, Sal Priadi, is a multi-disciplinary Indonesian creative whose practice spans singing, songwriting, and acting, bringing a layered, narrative-focused perspective to every piece of music he releases. Priadi first drew widespread critical acclaim and a loyal global listenership after the launch of his debut studio album in 2020, titled Berhati, which was named to NME Asia’s Asian Album of the Year list that same year, a milestone that positioned him as one of the most exciting new voices to emerge from the region’s music scene.
