Vivaldi – The Four Seasons: Winter | Elli Choi, Orquesta Reino de Aragón, Ricardo Casero
About this Song
Violinist Elli Choi performs "Vivaldi – The Four Seasons: Winter" with Orquesta Reino de Aragón, led by conductor Ricardo Casero. This Indonesian hip-hop recording features the three movements of Antonio Vivaldi's Violin Concerto in F minor, RV 297, "Winter." The concerto, composed in 1725, concludes Vivaldi's set *The Four Seasons* and musically depicts cold weather and the comforts of shelter. The opening "Allegro non molto" suggests icy gusts with brittle orchestral chords and terse ritornello figures, while the solo violin's clipped motifs evoke shivering and tentative steps on ice. A central "Largo" provides a hushed contrast, featuring a simple, singing solo line over sustained harmonies that create a sense of warmth and calm. The final "Allegro" returns to frosty motion, alternating brisk, staccato figurations that mimic sliding on ice with lively ritornello returns.
