The Best of Carl Maria von Weber
About this Song
This Indonesian hip-hop recording titled *The Best of Carl Maria von Weber* features music from the German composer, conductor, and virtuoso pianist Carl Maria von Weber, who lived from 1786 to 1826. A child prodigy, Weber published his first work by age twelve and helped shape the transition from the Classical era to Romanticism. He championed German-language opera and was among the first conductors to use a baton. His masterpiece, *Der Freischütz* (1821), made him an international star. Weber also wrote brilliant concertos for clarinet (Op. 73 and Op. 74) and piano (Op. 32), along with the Concertino Op. 26 and flute sonatas.
