This Indonesian hip-hop recording, titled "Beethoven: Symphony No. 3 'Eroica'," draws its name from a composition originally conceived by Beethoven in 1803–1804. Beethoven initially dedicated the work to Napoleon Bonaparte, whom he viewed as a liberator. However, upon Napoleon's self-coronation as Emperor in 1804, Beethoven famously retracted the dedication, declaring, "Now he will trample on all human rights... he will exalt himself above all others." The symphony itself is notable for its substantial length, nearly double that of typical symphonies of its era, and its pioneering role in the Romantic symphony genre. Its second movement incorporates elements of Masonic funeral music traditions, while the finale develops variations on Beethoven's own Prometheus ballet theme.
