Within the Indonesian pop artist’s growing catalogue of work exploring love, heartache, and the quiet vulnerability of romantic connection, Mantra Cinta lands as a core entry in the Garis Cinta project, a collection tied to the overarching concept of one person’s journey to find their one true love. This sound, the first part of the #GarisCinta series, was chosen for the project after its composer, Donne Maula, offered the track to Rizky Febian while he was in the middle of a collaboration with Yura Yunita; the track’s themes resonated deeply with Rizky’s own personal struggles searching for a partner, making it a natural fit for the project’s core concept. Created during the quarantine period, the track moved from idea to polished demo with support from Azier Efendi, who stepped in as music arranger, and Beraldy Dean, who joined as a session player to build out the track’s early form.
