Riefian Fajarsyah, known professionally as Ifan Seventeen, was born in Yogyakarta in 1983 and raised in Jakarta. His musical journey began in earnest when he joined the band Seventeen as a vocalist in 2008, following an audition that placed him in an already established group within the Indonesian music industry. As a singer and songwriter, Ifan contributed to the creation of popular songs such as "Lelaki Hebat," "Selalu Mengalah," "Jaga Selalu Hatimu," "Jalan Terbaik," "Menemukanmu," "Ayah," and "Kemarin." A pivotal moment in his career occurred in 2018 when a tsunami tragically claimed the lives of all his bandmates. Despite this profound loss, Ifan chose to continue his musical endeavors. In November 2022, he announced his decision to proceed as a solo artist, notably retaining the band's name, Ifan Seventeen, to honor the deceased members, whom he referred to as "eternal members" with no plans for replacement.
