About this Song
Jo Soegono, an Indonesian singer-songwriter from Jakarta, released "Kuakan Selalu" on the *Rasa&Rasa - EP* in May 2026. Known for blending Brazilian traditional music, including samba and Latin jazz, with Indonesian lyrics, Soegono also incorporates elements of R&B and Contemporary R&B into his work. His debut album, *Prof Jo*, officially released in November 2025, expanded on an earlier EP of the same title from 2023. That nine-song album explores themes of relationships, life's complexities, and self-reflection, incorporating genres like rock samba, Latin jazz, and bossa nova. A notable track from *Prof Jo*, "Hujan Deras," gained attention in the Indonesian underground scene for its blend of Latin rhythms and local language. Jo Soegono has performed at the Java Jazz Festival in 2026.
