Selamat Merayakan
About this Song
The pairing of For Revenge and Lomba Sihir, two artistic entities that bring their own distinct creative identities to the work that carries the title Selamat Merayakan, roots this sound firmly in the rich, multifaceted creative landscape of Indonesia, a region that has long fostered artistic expressions that resist the rigid, one-size-fits-all genre labels that structure most mainstream music industry systems. Categorized under Music/Other/Other, this sound sits outside the narrow bounds of the industry’s most commonly cited genres, a placement that is far from an afterthought, but rather a deliberate reflection of its ability to challenge expectations of what a recorded sound can be, rather than fitting into pre-existing boxes that would limit the scope of its artistic reach.
