Rooted in Indonesia’s thriving network of small, community-focused live music spaces that prioritize capturing raw, in-the-moment performances to share with audiences across the country and beyond, Trust Me With This (Mama) (Live at The Basement) is a fully realized live sound capture led by an Indonesian singer-songwriter who wrote the core track, and steered nearly every critical layer of the project’s production from start to finish. That creative lead, who first positioned his work as part of Indonesia’s independent music scene, took on dual core creative roles for the project, serving as both the video director and editor for the full recording, as well as the lead audio mixer who oversaw the final polish of the performance’s sound.
