The group’s name carries the stamp of its founding members, pulling the initials ND from co-founder Yonanda Frisna Damara, while adding the suffix A.K.A. to signal its core ethos of extreme, unbound fusion; the phrase “As Known As” nods to the project’s ability to shift between styles, contexts, and perspectives, adopting a new creative alias for every new artistic exploration. What began as a duo between Yonanda and Fajar Ari, known to fans as PJR Microphone, would grow into one of Indonesia’s most influential musical forces, reshaping what popular Indonesian hip-hop could sound like and who it could center.
