About this Song
Oliver Tree's "Life Goes On" gained international recognition and commercial success, fueled by its virality on TikTok. The American singer-songwriter, rapper, and record producer wrote and produced the track with Getter, releasing it as the second single from the deluxe version of *Ugly Is Beautiful* on May 28, 2021. Oliver Tree stated that "Life Goes On" is about a problematic relationship and not wasting time on toxic people. His music has been described as genre-defying, incorporating alternative pop, alternative rock, indie pop, hip-hop, dance, and pop-punk. Oliver Tree Nickell was born on June 29, 1993, in Santa Cruz, California, and signed with Atlantic Records in 2017 after his song "When I'm Down" went viral. He was known for his satirical and character-driven approach, often using distinct personas like 'Turbo' with a bowl cut and oversized jeans, and a 'cowboy era' persona for his album *Cowboy Tears*.
