About this Song
Indonesia’s long history of collaborative music making, which brings together individual creators and established creative collectives to share work that defies the narrow genre buckets most often used to box in global creative output, frames the sound that carries the title YANK, credited to Laila Ayu and SIMPATIK MUSIC. Categorized under Music/Other, this classification signals that the work resists alignment with the standard, widely recognized genre labels that are often assigned to the majority of commercial and independent releases, a choice that centers the work’s unique creative identity rather than forcing it to fit a pre-existing category that does not capture its full scope.
