Indonesian artist Hindia, also known as Daniel Baskara Putra, presents "Matahari Tenggelam" within a body of work that blends indie pop, electronic music, and traditional Indonesian sounds. A singer, songwriter, record producer, composer, and lecturer, Hindia co-founded the band .Feast in 2012 before launching his solo career in 2018. His solo output, including the critically acclaimed 2019 debut album *Menari dengan Bayangan*, often features personal and introspective lyrics addressing themes such as mental health, social anxiety, and the struggles of modern life. That album has achieved significant commercial success, with over 636 million Spotify streams. In 2020, Hindia won his first Anugerah Musik Indonesia (AMI) award for Best Alternative Solo Artist for his song "Rumah ke Rumah." He continued to expand his musical ventures by forming the band Lomba Sihir in 2021 with his live band members. His second studio album, the double album *Lagipula Hidup Akan Berakhir*, followed in 2023.
