About this Song
Indonesian solo singer DEABDIL, known for the viral social media song "SPONTAN (without) UHUY!," prepares the four-track extended play *KONTRADILSKI* for a January 30, 2026, release. Two singles from the EP, "(not) first impression" and "SPONTAN (without) UHUY!," appeared in 2025. The EP, which explores the overarching theme of contradiction, also includes the new songs "mejikuhibini (LOPE) u" and "(don't) it's up to you." DEABDIL’s music on *KONTRADILSKI* employs simple, easy-to-understand language, resembling everyday conversation with minimal metaphor, to ensure immediate comprehension of emotions and stories. The song "mejikuhibini (LOPE) u" describes the courage to fall in love directly and honestly, focusing on the realization of admiration and the confidence to pursue a relationship. Meanwhile, "(don't) it's up to you" tells a common relationship story about deciding where to eat, a situation often complicated by the repeated answer "terserah" (whatever you want).
