About this Song
The quiet, unfiltered sincerity that defines Ifan Seventeen’s approach to songwriting is palpable in every layer of IFAN SEVENTEEN - MERINDU (MV OFFICIAL VIDEO), a project rooted in the universal experience of longing that shapes human connection across Indonesia and far beyond. Written years ago, born from a desire to capture the exact thoughts and feelings of being truly in the thrall of missing someone, the track traces the unrelenting restlessness of carrying another person in your mind every waking hour, the quiet cycle of longing and worry that lingers, the persistent hope that the person you miss is safe and well, until the day you can be reunited. That same commitment to honest, emotional storytelling has been the throughline of his decades-long career in Indonesia’s music industry, which began in 2008 when he stepped into the role of lead vocalist for the beloved group Seventeen.
