Long before this episode of the Indonesian Hiphop Podcast was assembled to share a radically independent approach to touring for local hip-hop creators, Joe Million and a circle of his close peers launched a 10-city run of shows in 2018 built entirely on the kind of scrappy, unbudgeted drive that defines the most grassroots corners of independent music. That tour, dubbed the Bombardir Tour, leaned into a model so outside the standard framework for organizing performances that few of Joe’s fellow hip-hop artists had ever attempted to pull it off themselves, a gap that would eventually lead to the creation of the documentation that forms the backbone of Eps. 14 : Metode tour nekat ala Joe Million. After wrapping the original Bombardir Tour stops, Joe and his team did not let the hard-won lessons they learned along the way stay only with their small group.
