About this Song
Bernadya’s “Untungnya, Hidup Harus Tetap Berjalan” is a pop recording from Indonesia. The title, which translates to “Fortunately, Life Must Go On,” encapsulates the song’s central theme of resilience and the acceptance of life’s continuous journey. The lyrics reflect on past disappointments, specifically a year prior when the singer was separated from someone not destined for them. This initial period was marked by arrogance and a reluctance to trust a higher power’s plan, as expressed in the lines “Lebih percaya cara-caraku / Pilih ragukan rencana Sang Maha Penentu” (More trusting of my ways / Choosing to doubt the plan of the Almighty Determiner). Despite this initial struggle, the song quickly shifts to a perspective of gratitude and perseverance. The recurring phrase “Untungnya, bumi masih berputar / Untungnya, ku tak pilih menyerah” (Fortunately, the earth still turns / Fortunately, I didn’t choose to give up) highlights a conscious decision to move forward rather than succumb to despair.
