December 18, 2021, marked the staging of one of Indonesia’s most tightly crafted cross-genre live events, centering the Kulon Progo, Special Region of Yogyakarta-born project GuyonWaton for an exclusive orchestral concert that would produce the live hip-hop recording TAKKAN KEMBALI - GUYONWATON (LIVE ORCHESTRA), pulled from the full night’s set. The full concert, billed as Lokaswara 2021: Intimate Concert GuyonWaton Live in Orchestra “Sebuah Perjalanan Teruntuk Aku, Kamu dan Dia”, was built as a shared collaborative vision between two core entities: OKA Creativa, the production collective behind the event’s curation and execution, and GuyonWaton Official, the official home of the group that first introduced itself to fans as an acoustic dangdut band hailing from Yogyakarta’s Kulon Progo regency, bringing their distinct, roots-driven approach to Indonesian music to a full orchestral arrangement for the first time on this stage.
