Ikhlas Ngenteni | Guyonwaton Cover, the Indonesian hip-hop sound, centers on the creative collective Guyonwaton, a group rooted in the Kulon Progo Regency of the Special Region of Yogyakarta that first emerged as an acoustic dangdut band building a body of reimagined and original work. This iteration of the track is a cover, a reworking of a song that was first released in its original form as both a full track and accompanying video clip by artist Woro Widowati, with the underlying composition of Ikhlas Ngenteni written by creator Hisyam Fahmi, who granted formal permission and entered into a mutual agreement that allowed Guyonwaton to develop and release their own take on the work. Every part of the cover’s production unfolded within GuyonWaton Studio, the collective’s dedicated creative space that hosted all recording, performance, and pre-production work for the project, bringing together the full official lineup of Guyonwaton’s core members to contribute their respective skills to the sound.
