Gita Gutawa - When You Wish Upon a Star (Official Lyric Video)
About this Song
Pop from Indonesia draws from a wide range of global and local inspirations, often reimagining well-loved material to feel fresh and intimate for listeners that span generations, turning familiar melodies into shared touchstones that feel both rooted in the country’s vibrant musical landscape and connected to audiences far beyond Indonesia’s borders. This approach to pop, which honors the emotional core of any track it elevates, is the throughline that ties together the discography of Gita Gutawa, whose work balances accessible pop appeal with a tender commitment to the stories each song sets out to tell. For the official lyric video of her recording of When You Wish Upon a Star, that commitment shines through every element of the presentation, which centers the timeless lyrical content of the track to let its core message land with full force for every listener who encounters it.
