About this Song
One Direction, the English-Irish pop boy band formed in London in 2010, presents the song "Ready to Run." The group, consisting of Niall Horan, Liam Payne, Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, and Zayn Malik before Malik's 2015 departure, was formed on the British singing competition show *The X Factor*. After finishing third, they were signed by Simon Cowell to Syco Records. One Direction sold over 70 million records worldwide, making them one of the best-selling boy bands of all time, and embarked on an indefinite hiatus in January 2016. Their musical style evolved from teen-friendly pop to incorporate rock, acoustic, and folk influences, with *Midnight Memories* embracing rock and Beatlesque influences, and *Four* experimenting with edgier tones and narrative depth. The group's final studio album, *Made in the A.M.*, highlighted harmonies and lyrical introspection.
