About this Song
The 2019 collaboration "Gelora" brings together Indonesian rock group .Feast and Indonesian surf rock band The Panturas, who formed in 2016 with members Abyan Nabilio, Surya Fikri, Bagus Patria, and Rizal Taufikurrohman, all of whom met while studying at the Faculty of Communication Sciences, Padjadjaran University. The Panturas' name is a play on the instrumental band The Ventures, which also served as their musical inspiration, and their music is characterized by distorted guitar riffs, pounding percussion, and driving basslines, creating a gritty yet melodious sound. .Feast's sound is similarly defined by gritty guitar riffs, pounding bass lines, and strong vocals, with songs that are reflective and often address themes like love, loss, and finding one's place in the world. "Gelora" itself features a catchy melody, thrilling guitar riffs, and .Feast's soft vocals, and was released as a promotional anthem for Gojek for the 2019 SEA Games.
