Indonesian hip-hop artist Ecko Show, whose real name is Istianto Eko Poernomo, explores personal experiences and daily truths in his music, frequently incorporating Indonesian language and culture. Born in Gorontalo in 1986, he began his career in 2006, joining HipHop Hulondhalo (now GHC) at age 18. In 2007, he released the compilation album "HipHop Sulawesi" with MCG through IMR Record before pursuing an independent path. His sound blends original hip-hop beats with contemporary hip-hop elements. Among his notable songs is "My Life," which reflects his characteristic lyrical focus. Ecko Show draws inspiration for his lyrics from interactions with younger generations and has collaborated with numerous artists, including Aldamody on "Kok Lucu Ya" and Duo Anggrek on the 2026 single "Senayan Tanah Abang," which fuses Pop Dangdut with his rap style. His song "Orang Baru Lebe Gacor" earned him an AMI trophy for Best Solo Rap/Hip-Hop Artist in 2025.
