The Indonesian pop rock band Seventeen, formed in Yogyakarta in 1999, presents "Simpan Cintamu." The band's name reflects the original members' age of 17 at its inception, with their official formation on January 17, 1999. Seventeen released six studio albums and fifteen singles between 1999 and 2018. Following the 2018 Sunda Strait tsunami, which claimed the lives of most band members, including Herman Sikumbang, M. Awal "Bani" Purbani, and Windu Andi Darmawan, surviving vocalist Riefian "Ifan" Fajarsyah decided to continue performing under the band's name as a solo artist. This decision honors the deceased members and carries forward the legacy of the band that debuted with "Bintang Terpilih" in 2003 through Universal Music Indonesia.
