About this Song
Hindia, rooted in the expansive, multifaceted creative community of Indonesian artists who make work that challenges the limits of standardized music cataloging, crafts sound that refuses to align with the preexisting genre frameworks that structure most mainstream music ecosystems. The sound titled kids, one of the artist’s outputs, bears the classification of Music/Other/Other, a marker that does not signal a lack of artistic identity, but rather the failure of one-size-fits-all genre taxonomies to contain the full range of sonic expression that artists from underrepresented creative contexts bring to global audiences.
