About this Song
The Indonesian alternative rock band Perunggu, formed in Jakarta in 2019, includes "Abu" on their 2025 album, *Dalam Dinamika*. Adam Adenan, Ildo Hasman, and Maul Ibrahim are credited as songwriters for "Abu," while Enrico Octaviano and Petra Sihombing are credited as composers. The song is described as one of the harder tracks on *Dalam Dinamika*, which features a broader sound than previous work and explores topics like grief and the ills of social media. Perunggu's musical style is characterized by strong vocals, guitar-driven sounds, and a fusion of traditional rock with contemporary inspirations, often featuring guitar distortion, dynamic rhythms, and strong harmonies that represent resistance, anxiety, and the energy of the urban working class.
