About this Song
Juicy Luicy’s creative output is rooted firmly in the rich, sprawling musical ecosystem of Indonesia, a nation whose centuries-spanning history of cultural exchange and regional diversity has produced one of the most varied collections of sonic traditions anywhere in the world. Bukan Orangnya, the artist’s sound that carries this same sense of unbound creative identity, is categorized under the broad, uncodified heading of Music/Other, a classification that draws a clear line between the specific, rooted origins of the work and its resistance to the narrow industry standard genre boxes that define most commercial and independent music released to global audiences.
