About this Song
The live recording captured on BARASUARA manggung di Round Festival Indonesia 2023 distills a landmark set from one of Indonesia’s most dynamic collectives, recorded in front of the massive crowd gathered for one of the country’s biggest annual cultural events. Rooted in the Indonesian pop landscape, the recording carries the full weight of the six-member band’s sprawling, multi-faceted creative dynamic, each member bringing a distinct, calibrated role to the performance that unfolds across the set. Barasuara’s lineup brings together a range of complementary creative perspectives that translate to the layered, cohesive energy of every moment captured in the recording, with Iga Massardi holding down dual roles on vocals and guitar to anchor the band’s core sound, while sharing lead vocal duties with two additional performers, Asteriska and Puti Chitara, whose combined presence adds range and depth to every section of the live set.
