Alan Kasaji, a talented musician hailing from Banyumas, Indonesia, marks his first release with BoyCord Music through his hip-hop work Palakrama, a project built to celebrate the milestone that gives the track its Javanese name, which translates directly to “marriage.” BoyCord Music, the Yogyakarta-based record label that releases Palakrama, operates under the umbrella of Mabes Balker Music, and was founded to elevate original work from skilled Indonesian singers, centering homegrown talent as it builds its catalogue. The label is steered creatively by its lead producer Daru Jaya, better known by his professional name Ndarboy Genk, who fills that same production role for Alan Kasaji’s debut release on the imprint. Palakrama is crafted specifically for the artist’s own wife, Devi Oktika Sari, who appears alongside him in the official music video as the bride to Alan Kasaji’s groom, turning the track’s thematic core into a lived, on-screen celebration of their real-life union.
