About this Song
For Indonesian creative acts that work across boundaries rarely accounted for in standard global music genre rubrics, the flexibility of a Music/Other categorization creates space to center work that defies easy labeling, and Armada’s Harusnya Aku fits perfectly into that lineage of unclassifiable, regionally rooted sound. The act, credited publicly as Armada, operates out of Indonesia, a nation with a sprawling, diverse musical ecosystem that draws from hundreds of distinct cultural traditions across its thousands of inhabited islands, as well as global sonic influences that seep into local recording practices through decades of cross-cultural exchange.
