About this Song
Jeje, the creative mind behind the world of Aku Jeje, anchors all their work in Indonesia’s rich legacy of centering intimate, personal narrative as a bridge to broader community, turning small, unmarked moments of daily life into art that resonates far beyond the borders of their home country. All of Jeje’s output is rooted in the non-negotiable belief that music is never something to be consumed passively, that it holds space to be felt, to be lived, to be a loyal companion through every quiet and loud turn of a person’s own story. This core belief shapes every sound work released under the Aku Jeje banner, and it is the unshakable foundation of PULANG PULANG PLAY BUTTON | AkuCerita Eps.1, the first episode in the ongoing AkuCerita series of sound works that bring Jeje’s narrative and creative vision to audiences everywhere.
