About this Song
Rooted in Indonesia’s rich, diverse creative landscape, Jeje’s work as Aku Jeje is built on a core ethos that rejects the idea of music as a passive, background experience, framing it instead as something to be felt, lived with, and shared. This foundational perspective shapes every sound he releases, including the cover of Hindia’s Membasuh that carries his signature creative care, a work that fits seamlessly into the overarching world he has built to center storytelling through melody. In the space of Aku Jeje’s creative universe, each note and each narrative he brings to life is meant to be a companion for anyone who encounters it, an invitation to walk alongside Jeje through the emotional and creative arcs that define his discography.
