Shelley Fabares has died at 82. The beloved actress and singer, best known for The Donna Reed Show and Coach, died Saturday in Los Angeles surrounded by loved ones. Her family confirmed her passing, but her cause of death has not been publicly disclosed. Fabares became a household name playing Mary Stone on The Donna Reed Show before launching a successful music career with her 1962 No. 1 hit Johnny Angel. She later starred opposite Elvis Presley in three films: Girl Happy, Spinout and Clambake. For television audiences of another generation, Fabares became especially memorable as Christine Armstrong on Coach, where she starred opposite Craig T. Nelson and earned two Emmy nominations. Away from the screen, Fabares was married to MAS*H actor Mike Farrell for more than 40 years. She also became an Alzheimer's awareness advocate after her mother's battle with the disease and underwent a liver transplant in 2000 after experiencing progressive liver failure.
