His mother, Joyce Patton, shared the news on Facebook, asking supporters to keep his three children in their prayers. Monroe had been hospitalized since April after a case of meningitis developed into MRSA pneumonia, and he was placed on life support in the months that followed. His death comes just days after TMZ reported that Patton had filed for conservatorship over her son, questioning the validity of his marriage to Shawna Stewart and alleging the two had been separated for more than fifteen years.
