Alexis Bellino just revealed she bought herself a mid-facelift and neck lift as an early 50th birthday present. The Real Housewives of Orange County star exclusively told PEOPLE she underwent a comprehensive facial rejuvenation earlier this year with Beverly Hills surgeon Dr. John Layke. The seven-hour procedure included a mid-facelift to address laugh lines, a neck lift, brow lift, upper blepharoplasty, and CO2 laser skin resurfacing. Bellino paid for everything herself and says her goal was to look youthful and zesty heading into her next decade. Her adult children begged her not to do it, referencing her past breast augmentations that once earned her the nickname Jesus Jugs on television. New husband John Janssen was also initially against the surgery until he attended a consultation and heard the doctor explain the plan was simply to restore her natural appearance. Recovery proved more intense than her previous procedures, yet four weeks later she walked a red carpet without anyone noticing the change. Bellino now says she feels empowered, skips makeup freely, and wants other women to feel the same freedom. She plans to share more behind-the-scenes content on social media and is not concerned about online criticism.
