Known as “The Kings of Joburg Gqom,” the childhood friends take us through their journey from attending high school together at St. Charles in Pietermaritzburg to joining forces and pursuing their music dreams in Johannesburg. Specialising in Gqom, 3-Step and Afro Tech, The Incredibles have performed on major stages across South Africa and other African countries. They’ve worked alongside some of the industry’s biggest names, including DJ Tira, Blaq Diamond, NaakMusiQ, CowBoii, PCee, TNS and Anele Zondo, and recently teamed up with DJ Tira for their release “Shibilika.” In this conversation, we unpack their journey, their growth in the industry, the story behind the music, and their ambitions to take Gqom internationally while expanding into multiple business ventures.
