Filipino pop band Lola Amour formed in 2013 from two rival high school bands, "Sinigang Na Baboy" and "Decaf," whose members were friends from student music clubs. They officially adopted the name "Lola Amour" after the grandmother of lead vocalist Pio Dumayas when they went to college. The band's sound blends modern rock, funk, and pop, and they are known for incorporating brass instrumentation. Their debut EP, "Don't Look Back," was released in 2017 and included songs like "Fools" and "Maybe Maybe." In 2018, they released the single "Pwede Ba," which became one of their popular songs. Lola Amour was featured in the third season of Coke Studio Philippines, where they collaborated with rapper Al James on tracks such as "Sundan Mo Ko." The band released the single "Sanity" in 2019, which had a heavier sound than previous releases. "Fallen" was another hit for the band in 2021. "Raining in Manila" was released on June 14, 2023, as the lead single from their self-titled debut studio album.
