About this Song
The framing of show business as a messy, unapologetic force that shapes the work of creators tied to this sound, established by the core line that anchors the related full-length project The Life of a Showgirl, gives Opalite - BUNT. Remix a clear context within a larger body of pop work originating from the Philippines. As a pop sound built to extend the reach of the core recording it reworks, this remix sits within a longstanding tradition of Philippine pop creators reimagining existing tracks to connect with new audiences, both within the archipelago and across the global community of fans who engage with pop sounds coming out of Southeast Asia.
