Bata, Dahan-Dahan!
About this Song
The body of work from the Filipino group behind Bata, Dahan-Dahan! reshaped the trajectory of local popular music, reintroducing energy and creativity to a rock scene that had begun to feel stagnant for many audiences and creators alike. As part of a sprawling catalogue of pop-rooted sound rooted in the Philippines’ rich Original Pilipino Music (OPM) tradition, the track sits alongside a range of releases that prioritize uncommonly vivid storytelling, boundary-pushing stylistic choices, and sonic identities that resist easy categorization, even as they resonate deeply with listeners from every corner of the country’s diverse music audience.
